The Director of the Company is John Cousins, who has been providing independent consultancy and training services for over 15 years. He has over 45 years' experience in the hospitality industry: in line management; training and development; in further and higher education, both as a lecturer and as a senior manager, and is also an author of over 60 publications. 

Recognised by education and industry as an authority on food and beverage operations and hospitality management, he contributes nationally and internationally to the development of education and training provision for the hospitality industry.  A pioneer of industry based skills competitions, he is a respected organiser and judge for numerous industry competitions.

In recognition of his high level of commitment to the industry, he received the prestigious Caterer and Hotelkeeper 2013 Catey Award for contributions to education and training.
