For food and beverage service staff


The four key requirements are:

1. sound product knowledge

2. competence in technical skills

3. well developed social skills, and

4. the ability to work as part of a team







Whilst there have been changes in food and beverage service, with less emphasis on the high level technical skills in some sectors, these four key requirements remain for all staff.  However the emphasis on these key requirements varies according to the type of establishment and the particular service methods being used.
